With love and family...
What started out as a fun way to celebrate New Years eve with my son and instill values, turned into a yearly tradition, that blossomed into a dream and vision I held and wanted to birth........
He and I at first just said prayers, but as he got older I wanted to make it more interesting and fun. Since I loved making altars we made an edible one for the animals and said prayers of peace to the animals and humans. This continued to grow every NYE. One NYE we make people cookies with bellies that spelled out Coexist. We also would make other things to go along with it. One year we made a dough Ganesha and instruments of others faiths, for example a Kirpan.. We would take all these items and make an edible altar, a gift for all, and say prayers for world peace.
I love prayer... All kinds of prayer..... I am just as comfortable in High Mass at my Great Grandmothers Church, as a Hindu Temple, as I am Dancing the account of my souls journey in front of an all night fire circle.......
So after a few years went by, I started the process to expand this beyond my personal family tradition and invited other families. That was the moment I conceived the idea to Birth an annual public New Years Eve event.
October 31st 2012 is the date it was born! With the support of many amazing people and the love and faith of two very special women, Dorothea Juno-Johnston and Laura Leonard Estan!!! Thank you!!! JAI MA!!!
